GUST’s Journey to Success
To bring our vision to life, we forged a strategic partnership with the University of Missouri-St. Louis, a renowned international institution. Their expertise and guidance were instrumental in shaping our path forward. In 2000, the Private Universities Decree, No. 34, issued by the State of Kuwait, facilitated the establishment of our temporary campus in Hawally, equipped with the necessary infrastructure. Finally, in 2002, the Emiri Decree, No. 156, solidified GUST’s legal establishment as the first private university in Kuwait, marking the beginning of our inaugural academic year in 2002-2003.

Digital Marketing (Practicum) Trainer
Description
- Key Role: The role of a digital marketing trainer is to provide GUST students with an understanding of how recent and emerging advances in digital technology, aligned with changing consumer expectations and rapidly evolving customer behavior, are fundamentally altering the context in which every type of organization, whether commercial or not, operates.
Responsibilities
- Tasks: • Describe how advances in Digital have changed consumer behavior and expectations, have disrupted the way businesses sell, the customer journey, and the opportunities for your role and the wider business. • Describe the importance of an online presence and UX to attract and convert customers and how email campaigns generate valuable outcomes for businesses. • Describe how social media is used by businesses to engage with consumers, what the advantages are and how social selling and personal branding can be used. • Recognize the benefits of social media to provide effective social customer service and the benefits and challenges of using digital tools to provide effective social customer service. • Describe the risks associated with Digital and that they can be managed with data protection and data privacy policies. Understand the challenges facing businesses with digital transformation and the key international data protection and data privacy regulations. • Recognize the benefits of agility and using Digital to measure and improve business performance. Recognize the advantages of adopting a digital mindset for both the individual and organization.

Faculty Position in Applied Mathematics – Hiring in the Mathematics & Natural Science Department
Description
The Department of Mathematics & Natural Science in the College of Arts and Sciences at GUST invites applicants for a full-time faculty position in Applied Mathematics to start in Fall 2026. The successful candidate will teach, among others, Mathematics courses for Computer Science and Engineering majors (Calculus 1,2,3, Differential Equations, and Numerical Analysis), as well as General Education mathematics courses such as : College Algebra, Basic Calculus, and Basic Probability & Statistics. Preference will be given to candidates whose research lies in areas such as Scientific Computing, Mathematical Modeling, Optimization, Data Science, or Big Data Analytics. The State of Kuwait does not recognize degrees from online universities.
Minimum Qualifications
The applicant must have completed a Masters or PhD in Mathematics or any related field from a reputable North American or European university with extensive teaching experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong commitment to quality teaching, have a strong academic record of scholarly-related activity and quality research. He/she should possess excellent communication skills in English, be ambitious, self-motivated, hard-working, with the ability to work both individually and as part of a team.

Faculty Position in Education– Hiring in the English Department
Description
The Department of English in the College of Arts and Sciences at Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Education, specializing in Teaching Education, beginning Fall 2026. The successful candidate must hold a PhD in Instructional Methods, Educational Technology, or Curriculum and Supervision. Applicants should demonstrate ongoing professional activity, including publications in refereed academic journals. Please note that the State of Kuwait does not recognize degrees earned from online universities. The appointee will teach education-related courses at the undergraduate level. The teaching load will be distributed among four courses, based on departmental needs. In addition to teaching and service responsibilities, the faculty member is expected to maintain an active and progressively significant professional and/or scholarly record.
Minimum Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have completed a Masters or PhD in Education or a closely related discipline from a reputable North American or European university, with at least three years of teaching experience after the doctoral degree. He/she should have a strong commitment to quality teaching and be active in research. The ideal candidate must be ambitious, self-motivated, and hard-working, with the ability to work both individually and as part of a team. Candidates should use technology in all aspects of their teaching and possess experience using a variety of online platforms and teaching tools, implement current teaching and assessment of student learning practices, foster a successful learning environment for all students.
