The Opportunity:

Puffy is looking for a detail-oriented and a self-driven Junior Accountant to join our team in Dubai. You will be part of a lean accounting team alongside a Senior Accountant, an Accountant L2, and a fellow Junior Accountant, reporting directly to the Accounting Manager.

You will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, reconciliations, and financial reporting across our portfolio. You’ll work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to keep the books clean, accurate, and audit-ready.

We’re looking for someone who brings solid accounting fundamentals and sees AI as a core part of their work. This includes defaulting to AI-assisted workflows, automating reconciliations, catching anomalies, or pressure-testing their own output.

What You’ll Own:

Perform daily and monthly account reconciliations across multiple entities
Maintain and update general ledger entries with accuracy and timeliness
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and send invoices, monitor accounts for timely payments
Prepare financial reports and assist with management reporting
Enter and verify financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
Assist with audit preparation and documentation
Ensure adherence to relevant accounting regulations, company policies, and industry standards

What You Bring:

Must Haves

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
Minimum 1 year of hands-on accounting experience

Working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS standards
Moderate to advanced proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivots, data validation)
