Qualifications and Education:

  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education or in a relevant subject area.
  • Possesses Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent internationally recognized teaching qualification.

Professional Experience:

Job Purpose

In this Business Development Manager position

  • Support administration of field sales plans and processes to achieve sales objectives and revenue growth for a defined geographic region, product line or market segment.
  • Seek opportunities for increased and profitable sales on new and existing accounts.
  • Identify and contact prospective customers, assess customer needs and match with own products/ service/ alternative products/ services.
  • Put up sales presentations, bids, etc., provide product/ service information and follow up on quotes to close business.

Kuwait Airways is the flag carrier of Kuwait, with its head office on the grounds of Kuwait International Airport, Al Farwaniyah Governorate. The carrier traces its history back to 1953, when Kuwait National Airways was formed by a group of Kuwaiti businessmen; initially, the government took a 50% interest. That year, a five-year management contract was signed with British International Airlines (BIA), a BOAC subsidiary in Kuwait that operated charter flights and provided maintenance services. Tasks and Duties:

Sr. Officer, Personnel Affairs

Job Description

Kuwait Airways is activity recruiting for “Sr. Officer, Personnel Affairs ” in the Human Resources Department. In this role your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Basic Function and Scope:

Participates in providing a personnel service for the respective section. Involves processing, and monitoring various documents, memorandum and letters related to recruitment, salaries, allowances, transfers, termination and resignations.

a. Processes recruitment requests from various departments, drafts advertisements either locally or abroad, as required, reviews applications with the superintendent, selecting suitably qualified candidates for interview, and forwards to the Recruitment Committee. Ensures arrangements are made for the appropriate tests visas and accommodation, as required.

b. Reviews experience and qualification certificates, passports, visas and other documents of successful candidates to ensure they meet the Corporation’s requirements. Processes the appropriate documentation, opens a personnel file and forwards all personal and work details to Payroll, Entitlement and Passport SubSections to place data on the payroll and to obtain the required security clearance and passes. Assists in drafting appointment letters and contracts, checks the salary, grade and allowances to be offered, are applicable for the position, and in accordance with the Corporation’s rules and regulations, forwards drafts to the Superintendent for review.

c. Processes computer lists of employees eligible for salary changes, ensuring departments receive them on the due dates. Checks recommendations and examines the individual files to ensure that they are eligible for action and that no warnings or other notes are on file. Completes separate lists of changes and forwards to the Superintendent for review.

d. Monitors checklist of contract employees, and informs the department of the contract termination date three months in advance and requests if they wish to renew or terminate. Drafts letter to advise employee of renewal or termination of the contract, and sending copies to the appropriate department, as required.

e. Processes forms for the various allowances, checks appropriate birth and marriage certificates, and required licenses to carry out certain tasks, to ensure the employee is eligible in accordance with the Corporation’s rules and regulations. Drafts notification of allowance payment, passes to the Superintendent for review and forwards on receiving approval to Payroll section for input and payment.
