The American University of Kuwait (AUK) is an independent, private, equal opportunity, and coeducational liberal arts institution of higher education. The educational, cultural, and administrative structure, methods and standards of AUK are based on the American model of higher learning. The language of instruction is English.

Established by Amiri Decree 139 in 2003, AUK received its Institutional Accreditation from the Private Universities Council (PUC) – Ministry of Higher Education in the State of Kuwait, as of February 1, 2006.

AUK offers students a quality education based on an American college model. The faculty, administration, and staff work hard to create a caring environment where every aspect of the student’s development gets attention and support. The AUK faculty is comprised of a highly qualified group of international academics experienced in the American style of higher education. There are over 123 faculty members at AUK, 92 percent of whom have earned PhDs or terminal degrees. With most class sizes ranging from 17 to 24 students, developing bonds between students and professors is easy.

During their academic career at AUK, our students will be trained to improve their academic skills, time management skills, and learn stress reduction techniques. Our students will also find opportunities to gain professional experiences through our student employment program and internships, develop their creative talents and maintain their personal health and fitness through our extracurricular activities, and learn to become involved members of the community.

Scope and Purpose:

The Academic Advising Center at the American University of Kuwait (AUK) is seeking the position of receptionist. The successful candidate will provide a welcoming and efficient first point of contact for students, visitors, and staff, while also supporting the administrative and operational needs of the advising office

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Receive, direct and relay telephone messages, fax messages and emails.
Manages traffic flow of students in the AAC and Office of the VP of Student Affairs.
Maintains and keeps up-to-date all student forms at the AAC.
Processes major declarations.
Assists students with general questions.
Assists AAC staff with all clerical duties.
Keeps all AAC offices stocked with necessary office equipment and copier stocked.
Assists AAC director with budget, including keeping track of AAC expenditures and requisitioning needed materials.
Maintains records of all AAC staff leave requests and posts up-to-date leave schedule to AAC drive.

ദോഹ: ഖത്തറിനെതിരെ ഇസ്രായേൽ നടത്തിയ ആക്രമണത്തെ ശക്തമായി അപലപിച്ച് കുവൈത്തും ഖത്തറും. ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ നടപടി അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര നിയമങ്ങളുടെ ലംഘനവും മേഖലയുടെ സുരക്ഷക്ക് ഭീഷണിയാണെന്നും ഇരുരാജ്യങ്ങളും വ്യക്തമാക്കി.ഇസ്രായേൽ ആക്രമണം എല്ലാ അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര നിയമങ്ങളെയും ലംഘിക്കുന്നതും മേഖലയുടെ സമാധാനത്തിന് ഗുരുതരമായ ഭീഷണിയുമാണെന്ന് കുവൈത്ത് വിദേശകാര്യ മന്ത്രാലയം ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി. ഈ ആക്രമണം തടയാൻ ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്രസഭ രക്ഷാകൗൺസിൽ അടിയന്തരമായി ഇടപെടണമെന്ന് കുവൈത്ത് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.
