Phlebotomist

General Requirements

Although qualifications may vary depending on the specific role, the standard requirements for healthcare professionals in Kuwait typically include the following:

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in the relevant specialty (e.g., BSc in Nursing for nursing roles).
  • General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma where applicable.
  • For Phlebotomists, a specialized degree or certification in Phlebotomy is required.

Professional Experience

  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting is generally required.
  • For specialized positions such as Phlebotomist, at least 3 years of hands-on experience in blood extraction, including neonates and pediatric patients, is essential.

Licensing and Legal Requirements

  • Valid Kuwait Medical License or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Ability to transfer an existing Article 18 visa with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer, where applicable.

Communication Skills

  • Proficiency in English is required for most clinical and administrative roles.
  • For Phlebotomist applicants, fluency in both Arabic and English is mandatory due to direct patient interaction.
