ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
System Management
- Install, configure and maintain servers and associated hardware
- Build, configure and manage servers running Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualized server hosting and administration using VMWare, hosting back-end solutions, such as email and SQL databases,
- Troubleshoot software, hardware and network problems
- Define the system, network and storage expansion and maintenance plans to ensure that the hospital maintains supportable standards

Network Management

Coder-Outpatient Resubmission Officer
Description
The Outpatient Resubmission Officer is responsible for ensuring that all eligible accounts are appealed within the designated payer timeframes. The position is also responsible for analyzing the root cause analysis of the denied claims and develop corrective action plan for resolution of denials.
Job Functions and Key Accountabilities:
- Work proactively with Director RCM, Manager RCM, Coding staffs, and Pre-authorization staffs to develop measures to reduce the number of denials through research of denial trends.
- Analyses and categorizes denials based on the root cause findings and continually improves best practice methodology for denied claims recovery
- Acts as a resource when necessary for billing, pre-authorization and reimbursement issues and coding.
- Aware of current trends related to medical necessity, DRG and DOH Claims and Adjudication rules and coding guidelines
- Applying advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, treatment modalities, diagnostic test, medications
- Providing orientation and education to coders, pre-authorization co-coordinators, physicians and nurses based on Rejection Analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal skills while interacting with physicians, nurses and other staffs.
- Ensure high level of patient data confidentiality.
- Expertise in Diagnosis Related Grouping
- Utilizes tools available in 3M to ensure accurate coding.
- Ensure knowledge on deductibles, co-payments, co-insurance amounts, insurance exclusions and other policies of all insurances that Kanad Hospital is dealing with.
- Critical thinker with ability to perform root cause analysis, prepare and implement action plans and lead improvement initiative.
- Query physician for clarification and additional documentation prior to resubmission.4.14. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Technical Competencies:
- Evaluates and ensures that- all claims denied or underpaid inappropriately by payers are identified, appealed and reversed within the designated payer timeframes
- Effective physician query process prior to resubmission to obtain greatest possible diagnostic specificity and clinical documentation to accurately reflect the patient’s condition.
- Providing education to the team based on the root cause analysis of denied claims.
- Ensures to reduce rejections and get the claim paid at the initial resubmission of claims.
- Advance knowledge in DRG assignment through retrospective review of medical record for all relevant clinical conditions/diagnosis and procedures.
Qualification
Education: Degree in any related field preferably life science background. CPC (AAPC) certification will be a plus.

Anesthesia Specialist
Description
Specialist Anesthesia is a qualified Anesthesiologist responsible for delivery of quality anesthesia and sedation services to all surgical and non-surgical patients at Kanad Hospital. She/he shall assist the planning and organization of anesthesia service and quality assurance of the anesthesia services in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. As a member of Anesthesia staff he/she will assist the planning and organizing of Anesthesia Department as per the clinical practice guidelines.
Essential Job Functions and Key Accountabilities
1.Safe Conduct of Anesthesia Care:
1.1.Specialist Anesthesia duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to preanesthetic evaluation and care, medical management of the anesthetic procedure and the care of the patients during and after the surgery. The anesthesiologist should fulfill these responsibilities to the patient in accordance with the ASA Guidelines for the Ethical Practice of Anesthesiology and ethical policies of the Kanad Hospital.
1.2. As a member of the hospital medical staff, Specialist anesthesiologist is subject to and must observe, as well as be accorded the benefits of, the medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations generally applicable to all physicians granted privileges in the hospital.
1.3. An anesthesiologist with full staff privileges he/she must share on a fair and equitable basis in the responsibility for assuring 24-hour-a-day, 7day-a-week availability of anesthesia care.
1.4. Participating in the development of, and enforcing policies and procedures relating to the functioning of anesthesia personnel and the administration of anesthesia throughout the hospital.
1.2.Safe Conduct of Minimal, Moderate and Deep Sedation
Specialist Anesthesiologist should ensure safe sedation practice and be involved directly or supervision of sedation services throughout the hospital and is physically present during the procedure in the sedation suite. He /She should be responsible and capable of monitoring and management of any adverse events during these procedures.

Qualification
Females with fluent spoken Arabic preferred
ObGyn experience is required
Degree: Medical doctor degree with specialization course in anesthesia
Experience: Minimum 3 years’ related experience post qualification.
Must have ObGyn expereince; pediatrics and NICU experience would be a plus
License – Must be DOH/DHA licensed or DOH passer or DOH exam exempted
