This decision led to the sale of 100% of Zain Africa BV (‘Zain Africa’) to Bharti Airtel Limited in June 2010 for the total consideration of USD 10.7 billion on an enterprise value basis.

This represented a bitter-sweet moment in our history as we were both proud of what we had been able to achieve in Africa, while at the same time humbled by the success and value Bharti Airtel identified in the operations on the continent.

The 15 countries that Bharti Airtel acquired from Zain in Africa were: Burkina Faso, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Niger, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.

About The Role

The Postpaid Offer Configuration supports the development and configuration of attractive and data-driven offers across Postpaid segments. Working closely with analytics, marketing, and technical teams, the analyst contributes to offer planning, documentation, and execution across B2C channels. Responsibilities

  • Act as the first line of support for CVM offer configuration, banner setup, and digital ads, resolving issues or escalating as needed

About The Role

Prepaid Segments supports in the development and execution of commercially attractive, above the line, Prepaid voice and broadband acquisitions products, services and campaigns that cater to the consumer segment. The Prepaid Analyst aids in the definition of the strategy, analyzes trends and customer preferences, and often leads the documentation effort concerning concept papers, value propositions, product specifications. Additionally, the Prepaid Analyst will be required to coordinate with various stakeholders across Zain to help ensure the consistent and timely production of initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and documentation of product designs, concept papers, and lend support to product production throughout the pipeline (marcom, technical, sales agent trainings, etc.) communicate in- depth business requirements to technical teams
