The American University of Kuwait (AUK) is an independent, private, equal opportunity, and coeducational liberal arts institution of higher education. The educational, cultural, and administrative structure, methods and standards of AUK are based on the American model of higher learning. The language of instruction is English. Established by Amiri Decree 139 in 2003, AUK received its Institutional Accreditation from the Private Universities Council (PUC) – Ministry of Higher Education in the State of Kuwait, as of February 1, 2006. AUK offers students a quality education based on an American college model. The AUK faculty is comprised of a highly qualified group of international academics experienced in the American style of higher education. There are over 123 faculty members at AUK, 92 percent of whom have earned PhDs or terminal degrees. With most class sizes ranging from 17 to 24 students, developing bonds between students and professors is easy.

Data Analyst
Scope and Purpose:
The Data Analyst will support the university’s data-driven decision-making by collecting, cleaning, validating, and analyzing data from institutional systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability. The role is responsible for preparing analytical reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that inform leadership, support accreditation requirements, guide strategic planning, and enhance institutional performance and effectiveness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing and analyzing datasets using SQL, Excel, and data analysis tools.
- Designing, administering, and evaluating surveys to generate actionable insights.
- Translating analytical results into clear findings for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications
Education:

Years of Experience:

- Advanced knowledge in SQL and programming.
- Oracle certified developers are preferred.
- Knowledge of Ellucian Banner and/or Explorance Blue systems is considered an added value.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English speaking, reading, and writing.
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, cleaning, and validation.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications for reporting and presentations.

Senior Facility Technician
Scope and Purpose:
The Campus Services department at the American University of Kuwait (AUK) is seeking the position of Senior Facility Technician. The successful candidate will maintain and repair building systems, supervise junior technicians, and potentially coordinate larger facility projects. They are responsible for ensuring a safe, functional, and efficient environment within a facility
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor electrical systems including generators and switchgear.
- Oversee subcontractor performance during routine and emergency works.
- Ensure critical systems uptime and support PPM planning.
- Maintain basic records of electrical faults and resolutions.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on MDBs, DBs, and electrical panels.
- Support troubleshooting and repair of lighting, sockets, and emergency circuits.
- Monitor and maintain fire alarm systems (detectors, panels, MCPs, sounders).
- Supervise low-voltage (LV) systems: UPS, structured cabling, data panels.
- Assist with electrical setups for university events and temporary needs.

Scope and Purpose

A video production specialist’s scope of work includes overseeing the entire video production process, from initial concept to final delivery.
