പാലക്കാട്: വിവാഹാഭ്യർത്ഥന നിരസിച്ചതിനെ തുടർന്ന് യുവതിയെയും പിതാവിനെയും വീട്ടിൽക്കയറി വെട്ടി യുവാവ്. പാലക്കാട് നെന്മാറയിലാണ് സംഭവം. മേലാർകോട് സ്വദേശി ഗിരീഷിനെ പോലീസ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തു. ഗിരീഷിന്റെ വിവാഹാഭ്യർത്ഥന കുടുംബം നിരസിച്ചതിൽ പ്രകോപിതനായാണ് ഇയാൾ ആക്രമണം നടത്തിയത്.

ഗിരീഷും യുവതിയും മുൻപ് പ്രണയത്തിലായിരുന്നു. വിദേശത്ത് ജോലിക്ക് പോയി മടങ്ങിയെത്തിയ ശേഷം നാട്ടിൽ ബസ് ഡ്രൈവറായ ഗിരീഷിനെ യുവതി ഒഴിവാക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചെന്ന് ആരോപിച്ചാണ് ആക്രമണം നടത്തിയത്. യുവതി വിദേശത്ത് പോയതിന് ശേഷം തന്നോട് അകലം പാലിച്ചെന്ന് പ്രതി പറയുന്നു.

കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം വൈകുന്നേരം മദ്യലഹരിയിലെത്തിയ ഗിരീഷ്, യുവതിയെയും പിതാവിനെയും വെട്ടുകത്തികൊണ്ട് വെട്ടുകയായിരുന്നു. പരിക്കേറ്റ ഇരുവരും നെന്മാറയിലെ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ചികിത്സയിലാണ്.

കുവൈത്തിലെ പുതിയ താമസ നിയമം: ആദ്യ കേസിൽ പ്രവാസി തൊഴിലാളിക്ക് അനുകൂല വിധി

കുവൈത്ത് സിറ്റി: കുവൈത്തിൽ പുതുതായി നിലവിൽ വന്ന താമസ നിയമം (ആർട്ടിക്കിൾ 19) പ്രകാരമുള്ള ആദ്യ കേസിൽ പ്രവാസി തൊഴിലാളിക്ക് അനുകൂലമായ വിധി. ശമ്പള കുടിശ്ശിക നൽകുന്നതിൽ വീഴ്ച വരുത്തിയ കമ്പനി ഉടമയ്ക്ക് കോടതി 5,000 ദിനാർ പിഴ ചുമത്തി.

2024 ജൂലൈ 15-നാണ് തൊഴിലാളിയുടെ ശമ്പളം നൽകാത്തതിനെതിരെ തൊഴിലുടമക്കെതിരെ കുവൈത്ത് കുറ്റാന്വേഷണ വിഭാഗം കേസ് ഫയൽ ചെയ്തത്. പുതിയ താമസ നിയമം പ്രാബല്യത്തിൽ വരുന്നതിന് മുമ്പാണ് കേസ് രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്തതെന്ന തൊഴിലുടമയുടെ വാദം കോടതി തള്ളി. കേസിന്റെ സമയപരിധിക്കപ്പുറം മനുഷ്യത്വപരമായ പരിഗണനയാണ് ഈ കേസിൽ പ്രധാനമെന്ന് ജസ്റ്റിസ് മിഷാരി അൽ-ബൈജാൻ അധ്യക്ഷനായ ഫസ്റ്റ് ഇൻസ്റ്റൻസ് കോടതി നിരീക്ഷിച്ചു.

പുതിയ നിയമത്തിലെ പ്രധാന വ്യവസ്ഥകൾ:

പുതിയ താമസ നിയമത്തിലെ ആർട്ടിക്കിൾ 19 പ്രകാരം വിദേശികളെ റിക്രൂട്ട് ചെയ്യുന്നതുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് താഴെ പറയുന്ന കുറ്റങ്ങൾ ശിക്ഷാർഹമാണ്:

ആഭ്യന്തര മന്ത്രാലയത്തിന്റെ ലൈസൻസില്ലാതെ വിദേശികളെ റിക്രൂട്ട് ചെയ്യുക.

തൊഴിലാളിയെ മൂന്നാം കക്ഷിക്ക് വേണ്ടി ജോലി ചെയ്യാൻ നിർബന്ധിക്കുക.

തൊഴിലാളിയുടെ ശമ്പളം നൽകുന്നതിൽ വീഴ്ച വരുത്തുക.

കരാറിൽ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുള്ള ജോലിക്കല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരു ജോലി ചെയ്യാൻ തൊഴിലാളിയെ നിർബന്ധിക്കുക.

ഈ വിധി പ്രവാസി തൊഴിലാളികൾക്ക് പുതിയ നിയമം നൽകുന്ന സംരക്ഷണം എത്രത്തോളമുണ്ടെന്ന് വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നതാണ്.

കുവൈത്ത് സിറ്റി: സെപ്റ്റംബർ മാസമായിട്ടും കുവൈത്തിൽ ചൂടിന് കുറവില്ല. അടുത്ത ദിവസങ്ങളിലും രാജ്യത്ത് ഉയർന്ന താപനില തുടരുമെന്ന് കാലാവസ്ഥാ നിരീക്ഷണ കേന്ദ്രം അറിയിച്ചു. പകൽ സമയങ്ങളിൽ താപനില 46 ഡിഗ്രി സെൽഷ്യസ് വരെ ഉയരാൻ സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്. ഇന്ത്യൻ മൺസൂണിന്റെ സ്വാധീനം കാരണം രാത്രികാലങ്ങളിലും ചൂട് അനുഭവപ്പെടുമെന്ന് കാലാവസ്ഥാ വിഭാഗം ആക്ടിങ് ഡയറക്ടർ ദരാർ അൽ അലി വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

വടക്കുപടിഞ്ഞാറൻ കാറ്റ് സജീവമാവുന്നതിനാൽ തുറന്ന സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ പൊടിക്കാറ്റ് ഉണ്ടാവാൻ സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്നും മുന്നറിയിപ്പുണ്ട്. വെള്ളിയാഴ്ചയും ശനിയാഴ്ചയും 43 മുതൽ 45 ഡിഗ്രി വരെ ചൂട് തുടരും. കടലിൽ തിരമാലകൾ ചിലപ്പോൾ ആറ് അടി വരെ ഉയരാം. ഉയർന്ന ചൂടിൽ നിന്നും പൊടിക്കാറ്റിൽ നിന്നും സ്വയം രക്ഷിക്കാൻ ആവശ്യമായ മുൻകരുതലുകൾ എടുക്കണമെന്നും, ആവശ്യത്തിന് വെള്ളം കുടിച്ച് ശരീരത്തിലെ ജലാംശം നിലനിർത്തണമെന്നും കാലാവസ്ഥാ വകുപ്പ് പൊതുജനങ്ങളോട് അഭ്യർത്ഥിച്ചു.

ഈ മാസം പകുതിയോടെ ചൂട് കുറയാൻ സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്നും ഒക്ടോബറിൽ താപനിലയിൽ വലിയ കുറവുണ്ടാകുമെന്നും അധികൃതർ സൂചന നൽകി.
