As a Security Officer, you will work independently to ensure the coordination of all security actions pertaining to the requirements, processes, and procedures of Group Security policy are carried out appropriately. Investigate and analyse cases of non-conformity and come up with appropriate recommendations of counter measures and corrective actions. Contribute to the development of appropriate training and education materials and to put up appropriate recommendations to relevant stakeholders to enhance security procedures, process, and awareness in the pursuit of heightening the level of security barriers against acts of unlawful interference, misconduct and undesirable activity.
In this role, you will:
- Monitor and control the daily discrepancy logs, conduct or direct investigation to establish the facts and present a well-considered recommendation to the line.
- Review relevant areas of operation and examine personnel and case records to ensure that personnel conform to prescribed standards of appearance, conduct, and efficiency. Inspect the operations and observe activities in assigned area for evidence of inefficiency and misconduct.
- Prepare reports in relation to the productivity and performance of staff as well as the operational readiness of the unit. Submit reports to the line and recommend action to be taken or changes in rules in accordance to the Group’s policies and the standards outlined by Emirates Group Security Policy. Collate statistics, facts and other relevant evidence and present a comprehensive finding or conclusion to be considered by the next level of authority.
- Cascade directions from senior management to ensure that these are carried out accordingly. May be required to contribute in the formulation of procedures, quality drive and human resource requirements.
- In emergency cases, re-distribute members of security personnel where required e.g. in case of fire, ISU (Incident Support Unit) activation etc. to ensure that all operations in other areas are running smoothly and all security requirements are met.
- Act as security liaison with the authorities e.g. the police, immigration, the prosecution branch, DAC (Dubai Airports Company) etc. in the day to day operation, investigation, planning, quality drive and the development of security programs.
- Prepare procedures to identify security functions and measures which could assist in the overall prevention of acts of unlawful interference and misconduct. Support in maintaining the related manuals to ensure currency and take lead in the organisation’s drive towards continuous improvement.
Qualification
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Experience in aviation security in a supervisory position of an airline, ground handling company, aviation services business or other large services sector organization, ideally in a law enforcement environment.
- Industry related certification i.e. aviation security from IATA, ICAO and other relevant recognised organisations.
- Experience in the airline industry.
You’ll have an edge if you have:
- Diploma or Certificate in Aviation Security Management would be an added advantage.

Sales & Business Development Executive – Cargo
Job Purpose
dnata is one of the world’s largest air and travel services providers; offering ground handling, cargo, travel and catering & retail services at over 130 airports in more than 34 countries across six continents. At dnata, we are by your side for the entire travel experience.
As a Sales and Business Development Executive you will, promote and sell cargo products, solutions and services to Freight Forwarders / Cargo Agents and seek to maximise freight revenues and market penetration with the focus on positioning dnata Cargo as an all-inclusive service provider in the region.
In this role, you will:
- Plan
– Implement the set annual sales target and a promotional action plan in line with the overall Cargo objectives and provides the recommendations to the Sales Manager Commercial/ Calogi Manager for review and approval.
– Supports in designing and developing sales and marketing strategies focusing on Products and Solutions, GHAs, Airlines, Agents and 3PL operators in the UAE and overseas in line with overall cargo sales objectives. - Execute
– Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
– Implements day-to-day operations assigned and ensures compliance with the established standards and procedures.
– Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
– Conducts meetings and joint sales calls with airline representatives/ Calogi Customers to ensure that the required number of customers is contacted.
– Uses the ‘basket airlines approach’ to familiarize clients with the type and variety of transport solutions on offer with the objective of running freighter services to facilitate large ad hoc export volumes.
– Maintains close contact with internal sales support and operational staff for picking up sales leads and updates them with the current airlines rates.
– Compiles statistics relating to cargo volumes, revenues, yield and seasonal variations.
– Reviews and analyses business performance / potential provide recommendations on credit limits after analysing the business performance / potential.
– Reviews and analyses the lost sales opportunities in order to recommend timely and suitable remedial measures.
– Builds and maintains relationships and regular contacts with principal airlines to ensure that the information is formulated and disseminated such as changes in schedules to ensure that their requirements are met in a timely manner.
– Implements sales strategies and new product development in the logistics community through meetings, telesales and mailing activities to enhance the awareness of the industry of the cargo services in terms of services provided, price and quality.
– Deals and solves all customer grievances through service recovery, repeat business, investigation and fault rectification in line with the policies and procedures for airline sales and operations.
– Release of Air waybill stocks to the freight forwarding community, collection of bad debts and follow up of revenue settlements.
– Analyses sales performance data vs. revenue targets/marketing plan to provide recommendations to the Management.
– Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders including airlines, operators, charters, brokers, airports to obtain the necessary intelligence on competitor plans and intentions.
Qualification
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Sales and Marketing and experience in logistics/ cargo.
- 4-6 years of experience with an airline or GSA in a sales environment.
